Well, well, well. We were waiting for someone to set out their stall and Ronan did so emphatically this week by netting 10 points to leapfrog Penny and Darren to claim top spot on the Totally Skill League table. As previously reported, it had been a rather slow start after the first few games, but Europe proved a happy hunting ground for Ronan as he picked up 7 of his points total there.
Huddersfield came good for all three with a comfortable home win, while Mansfield also held off the challenge of Alfreton Town to hand points all round to the intrepid forecasters. Don't know quite what happened with the Highland League fixture mix-up, but rest assured they shall not be left out of the running again...it's just not the same without a couple of points gained on an unikely Keith away win.
In related news, the new 'Fit Of Petulance' mini album is currently set to be released 'very soon' according to insiders at Plank Records. It has been confirmed that 90% of the album has been written, and now suitable blank cassettes are being sought to commit the sounds to tape. Yes, tape. In a radical move designed to shun the download generation, the recordings will be available only in the tape format, with plans to possibly upgrade to CD soon after. (8 track cartridge versions may be available on request).
