TOTALLY ROUND-UP WEEK 29
Points were hard to come by again this week, and it's no consolation to Penny and Darren that once again Ronan emerged from the weekends action with a top total of 5, ahead of Darren's 4 and Penny's rather paltry 2. The current reigning champion is under huge pressure from fans and media alike as she elected to eschew this morning's press conference to go straight back into training for the tough weeks ahead. Ronan has now stretched his lead at the top to ELEVEN points and is also the first Skiller to crack 200 points. Darren is steadily hauling himself up the table too, with only EIGHT points seperating him from second place and Penny needs to muster all her considerable resources to fend off the challenge of Darren whilst similtaneously pegging Ronan back.
All Skillers picked up points with Chelsea and Notts County winning, but none of them realised that the Mexican stand-off between Tijuana and Toluca would be a tight encounter. There was barely a Tortilla between them. Hats off to A!F!C! again this week, who fought back once more from 3-1 down AWAY from home to get a precious draw (4-3 would have been asking a bit too much for the second time in a month methinks). The result may have denied all three Skillers 2 points each, but it's worth it just to hear the fans sing.........Seb!

THOUGHT OF THE WEEKEND
If only all fans were as devoted as Tiago Rech, the sole away fan for Brazilian team Santa Cruz' trip to Gremio. Despite not having the best of support, Tiago had assumed there might be one or two others to keep him company, but alas it wasn't to be. When Santa Cruz scored their only goal of a 4-1 drubbing though, he went mental. What a legend.
TOTALLY ROUND UP WEEK 28
Clearly inspired by his meeting with the great Mr Hamann, Ronan once again leads the way with an impressive 11 points from our bumper FA Cup round. Darren also did himself proud with a respectable 9 points but Penny's emulation of her beloved Arsenal's Ferbruary form continues with a dismal 5. At this rate she will be playing Europa League fixtures away in the Ukraine next season...Ronan meanwhile will certainly be the first to 200 points this season.

TOTALLY ROUND-UP WEEK 27
Ah, the mullet-perm combo, sadly missed and surely overdue for a comeback...
Which leads us (tenuously ) to this week's round-up as Darren's slow but steady comeback continues to eat into the leads of Ronan and Penny. If he can keep plugging away as he is, with a consistent 5 or 6 points each week, who knows where the end of the season will find him?
Ronan was our top scorer though and his 6 points take him back to the top, leap-frogging Penny who had a bit of a disastrous week on 3 points. That week of overseas training seems to have done no good at all.
We did lose a couple of fixtures to frozen pitches, but hopefully this coming week, with its bonus FA Cup round sees no postponements, though how the Lossiemouth v Buckie fixture managed to go ahead when A!F!C!'s didn't is a bit of a mystery.
In another tenuous link to our mulleted heroes, European action resumes this week; lets hope our intrepid competitors don't let the Mandarin Cup distract them too much.

Thought of the Weekend
Well, Shamrock Rovers may have ended their Europa League adventure, but guess what I remembered for the first time in ages today? Yes: both Manchester mega-clubs start their own Europa journey this week.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
It truely is the gift that keeps on giving...
(Please god don't let Arsenal or Liverpool get stuck there next season...)

PLANK OF THE WEEK Part 11!
Well, for a long time we haven't had any candidates for this weekly award but, like buses, these things disappear for ages and then all turn up at once.
So at 12.44 Saturday afternoon, Fabio Capello looked like a shoe-in for this week's award for his toys-out-of-the-pram strop at the English FA. Yes, you may be irked at them overriding you, Mr Capello, but the John Terry racism row was the wrong battle to pick. You just look like a fool.
But little did we envisage quite how desperate Luis Suarez was to get in on the act and lo, it came to pass that at 12.45, the Uruguayan's idiotic refusal to shake Patrice Evra's (let us remind ourselves, the VICTIM of Suarez's racist abuse, not the perpetrator) hand, fast-tracked him into Plank of the Week top spot.
With a simple handshake, the whole issue could have been put to bed and there would surely have been no half-time and full-time scuffles at Old trafford. Kenny Dalglish, in a misguided attempt to remain loyal to a player who deserves no support, would also not have isolated himself as the only person not to be disgusted by the player's behaviour.
Luis Suarez, you PLANK.

Why Matty?
Well, Matty's off to pastures new.We can only hope Sergio stays to help Crawley to bigger and better things.

TOTALLY ROUND-UP WEEK 26
Waxman may have pegged it backwith a fine free kick, but not even he could hold back the mighty onslaught.....
Aaannnnnywaaay..........the cold and wind and rain don't know, they only seem to lay waste to the Totally Skill League's best laid plans. FOUR matches were postponed this week, with the lower leagues obviously in need of decent undersoil heating. Let's hope Penny's UK training camp did not fall foul of similar problems...with things as tight as they are right now in the League, she needs all the training she can get.
Darren and Ronan both notched 3 points from the Cockney Battle (in which a Trotter scored for Millwall......maybe?...surely not?......"Oi Rodney, on me 'ead son!"), while all three Skillers did not back Bordeaux TO LOSE (sorry), and were duly awarded a precious point each.
